Ing. Juraj Snopek
He was born in Handlová in 1964. He studied Railway Transport Operations and Economics at the former University of Transport and Communications in Žilina.
He has been involved in genealogy for nearly 20 years.
As the main administrator, he manages the genealogical forum forum.geni.sk, where he actively helps both beginner and advanced researchers. He is also active on other genealogical forums in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
He co-founded the civic association Genealogický inštitút Slovenska (Genealogical Institute of Slovakia) and actively contributed to building the largest genealogical dictionary, genedict.net , focused on translating terms from old historical documents. He is a member of the Slovak Genealogical-Heraldic Society.
As a co-author, he contributed to the publication “Ako si vytvoriť rodokmeň (EN: How to Create a Family Tree.)”
MUDr. Patrik Zakarovský, MPH
He was born in 1995 in Prešov and studied General Medicine at the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University.
He has been involved in genealogy since 2010.
As one of the administrators, he manages the genealogical forum forum.geni.sk, where he actively assists both beginner and advanced researchers. He also played an active role in developing the largest Slovak genealogical dictionary, genedict.net.
He is the author of more than twenty professional articles in the field of genealogy and has repeatedly given lectures on genealogical topics at meetings of genealogists in Slovakia and Moravia.
He specializes in research related to eastern Slovakia.
While researching his own family tree, he has collected information on more than six thousand individuals.
